6 years ago today I suddenly felt strange
numbness and tingling in my arm. A coworker recommended a visit to his
friend chiropractor Dr. D and I haven't been the same person since.
Lots more symptoms, tests,
treatments, research, and diagnoses later, we heard the term Fibromyalgia for the first time. We went through a roller coaster
ride, had a couple of really difficult years, and
finally came out on the other side with a stronger marriage, deeper
faith, more compassion, and a true understanding of grace.
Despite all
the misunderstandings of this illness, it is very real, and after 6
years I can say without a doubt that I'm not the same person as a
result. Thankfully, by God's mercy & grace, I have learned SO much
over these past 6 years - and through it all God has been faithful and
hasn't given up on me even when people did. I'm thankful for the
challenges and difficulties I've faced during this time as they've made
me who I am.
Thank you so much to all of you who have walked with me
during this time!! And a very special thanks to Dr. D, who has made life
with Fibro a lot more tolerable with treatments!!!

I posted the above on Facebook this morning, and am still processing it all. It still feels a bit surreal.

I have a dear friend who works for a company that has a special FREE download for 24 hours (not sure what hour of it we are on right now...). Be sure to grab it while you can!! Here are the details:
Read it for FREE Friday! Fibromyalgia may be hard to explain, but it's
even harder to experience. For the next 24 hours, read our new Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries minibook on Fibromyalgia for free. (And don't forget to share it with a friend!) // http://bit.ly/NpsGe5
