Have I ever mentioned I LOVE hockey?!
This often comes as a surprise to people. It is my favorite sport to watch live. It's a little less exciting for me to watch on TV when the camera crew has a tough time keeping track of the puck. Thereby making me dizzy.
So I have to admit I didn't watch much of this season. Alas, I now regret that. However, I did watch bits and pieces as hubster watched and I did watch the last two games including all of last night's very exciting final game!!!! Our house likely felt like many others across the country as we sat a little stunned at first not understanding what was going on at the end, finally getting excited when we found out Kane scored that final goal! And yet, the celebration was a little stilted because even when we were excited at that point, we didn't understand what had happened and were still in a bit of shock, I suppose. Of course with the replays, then we finally understood and were super stoked!!!!
It was also fun to hear from one of my friends who lives in the city of Chicago to hear what it was like downtown. Lots of fireworks, people running out and cheering in the streets, her praying quietly they wouldn't wake up her sleeping babe, and a wee bit of chaos erupting as people celebrated.
We clapped, cheered, watched a bit of them celebrating, and went to bed. Had a tough time falling asleep after all the excitement!

I love to watch it live too, but it's best when we're beating you. My son is very unhappy that Hossa got to help win the cup this year.
