About Turning 33

There's just nothing quite like getting the rare chance to celebrate my birthday {on the actual day} with my dear family & best friend/sister Tracie! :) It was super special.

I woke up to breakfast with my mom & stepdad, and a very beautiful card and hug from my mama. I heard one of my favorite sermons ever that my brother preached.

I got to have lunch at one of my favorite places: Fazoli's {which they don't have here in Chicagoland!}:

Mmmmm....

And enjoyed it with some of my favorite people: hubster, dad, brother & his family, Tracie & her family.

I got to spend a final few minutes in a hotel parking lot saying farewell to my long-lost cousin from Arkansas and her family {minus 1 sick 19 mth old who was asleep in the car}.

Then on our way home hubster treated me to another all-time favorite, Cracker Barrel. We'd originally planned this on our way out of town Friday morning for our anniversary breakfast, but it didn't work out, so we got it on the way home instead. So glad we ended up doing this, it worked out perfectly and was such a nice treat!

For realz, their food is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!!

I apologize for neglecting to take the pic til it was 1/4 eaten ;)

I really am so incredibly blessed.
Today was a good reminder of that.
Of how much I have to be thankful for.

No matter what the Fibromyalgia does to me.
No matter how many dark or rough days I have.

There are so many more good days.
There are so many ways for me to praise my God.
There are so many ways for me to lift my eyes up to the skies
and thank him for another day with another chance to honor him.
For another chance just to get to breathe another breath.

33.

Another year to be thankful.
To praise God for his goodness & grace.
To savor more memories & special days.
To soak in the blessings of learning daily what life is all about
when living with Fibromyalgia.
To try new things/see new sights/breathe in fresh air/
and experience life while honoring Jesus Christ.

33.

I want to do so much more this year than I did when I was 32.

What a special birthday celebration! Happy Birthday, girlie!

PS. They don't have Fazoli's there? I didn't know that! We don't have them down here either, and now you're making me miss them again!

We should totally do a mini shindig in my hometown sometime and totally surround the visit with lots and lots of Fazoli's eating!! :) I'd be down with dat.

We used to eat at Fazoli's all the time when we lived outside of St. Louis (on the Illinois side). There was one in Virginia, not quite as easy to get to, so we didn't go much. But here in Michigan, there is only one up around Lansing (I think) that I know of. We miss it.

And Cracker Barrel...enough said.

The other thing we miss is Chick-Fil-A.

Happy Birthday! You're just a young thing!

Happy belated birthday and anniversary. We have a lot of similarities besides fibro...I am about to turn 33 on 7/14 and my hubby and I will be celebrating 11 years on 10/14. Glad you had a great day.
