Sometimes

I've been struggling with some stuff.

Stuff that I'm not always vocal about even with those closest to me right now. Stuff that causes me to doubt, have anxiety, get stressed out, and get crabby about.

Stuff where I beg God to show me what's going on and ask him to change things.

And every time, God totally shows up and rocks my world. But usually in the unexpected ways, not always the ways I hope for, but he's still there, showing me his hand his steady and his ways are perfect.

Sometimes the ways he shows up are in the quiet, stillness of life. Or in worship at a Christian concert.

Last night, we went to see our favorite group the David Crowder Band on their final tour. It was bittersweet, but in the end just a true delight to be able to be there!

I was struggling with some things in my heart yesterday.

And God totally showed up at this concert. I felt him quietly speaking to me the entire time.

One way he did it was with one of their new songs. Please read the lyrics, they are really powerful. I just love when songs say what we need them to say, just at the time we need them to say it! So moving!!

Check it out here. You can play it at the top.

"Sometimes" by David Crowder Band

Sometimes every one of us feels
Like we’ll never be healed
Sometimes
Sometimes every one of us aches
Like we’ll never be saved
Sometimes

When we’ve given up
Let Your healing come
When there’s nothing left
Let Your healing come
‘Til we’re rising up
Let Your healing come
Where You go, we will follow
Where You go, we will follow

Chorus:
It’s Your love that we adore
It’s like a sea without a shore
We’re lost in You, we’re lost in You
It’s Your love that we adore
It’s like a sea without a shore
We’re lost in You, we’re lost in You
Sometimes

Sometimes
It’s like we’ll never atone
For all the love we’ve known
Sometimes
Like in a smile or a song
When you feel it come
And that feeling’s gone
It flies

When we’ve given up
Let Your healing come
When there’s nothing left
Let Your healing come
Feel it rising up
Let Your healing come
Where You go, we will follow
Where You go, we will follow

Chorus

It’s Your love that we adore
It’s like a sea without a shore

Don’t be afraid
Don’t be afraid
Just set your sail

Bridge:
And risk the ocean there’s only grace
Let’s risk the ocean there’s only grace
Let’s risk the ocean there’s only grace
Let’s risk the ocean there’s only grace
And where you go we will follow

I'm on my knees
And where you go we will follow
Oh God send me

Chorus

And where you go we will follow
I'm on my knees
And where you go we will follow
Oh God send me
