Flashpoint is hands down one of my favorite shows. It's only on in the summer, and for some reason it skipped last year. It's in its 3rd season and easily missed (sadly!!) unless you are paying attention or watching for it on CBS.

I forgot just how much I loved it and am moved by it until it came back. Ohhhh boy!!! What a great show! It's moving, well acted, well written, very dramatic, funny once you get into the characters, and... well... crazy good! I'm almost always moved to sit on the edge of my seat and moved to tears in each episode. It's powerful and gripping. And it's a very clean show (unless you consider violence a part of "clean" then it's not)!

If you aren't watching this, I'd encourage you to give it a try for a couple of weeks, at least! Be sure to let me know what you think! So far you will have only missed 2 episodes of this season, but could easily catch up on them online. 1 here and 2 here.

It's a Canadian show Rochelle. You may be able to find missed episodes here: http://shows.ctv.ca/FlashPoint.aspx Hopefully they let you watch them unlike the US videos that are blocked for us Canadians.
I was wondering how come I had never heard of it before, but then you said Friday nights. My tv is never on that night. Apparently it should be!
I've watched this a couple times and liked it. But with such weird scheduling, I haven't been a regular viewer. This may be one that I end up watching in DVD.
