My Childhood Home

18 years of memories.

Long time since I'd driven past it.

So different than it was.

But still the same.

I got choked up.

Surrounded by cornfields and woods and silence.

Oh how I miss you.

Years of football, baseball, pitch n catch, frisbee, and other stuff in our large side yard that we affectionately called our 'football field'.

Lots of memories on the rooftop, driveway, the shed that's no longer there, the carport that is different than what was there, our buried dog and cat, and the list goes on.

A good reminder that life moves quickly on around us. We have to soak up every memory, enjoy every moment, and savor every scene because it'll be gone in the blink of an eye.

That is very cool that you got to go past and see it. There really are some pretty fabulous and deeply entrenched childhood memories wrapped up in our homes!

Thanks ladies! It was really great to see it - wish I could go inside! It's a friend of the family so I'm sure I could but I'm not sure I'd like seeing it changed so I'll just keep it in my memory!
