New Shoes

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I feel about these new shoes I purchased at Kohl's last night. I'm preparing to leave on a business trip most of this coming week, and I decided it was time to keep my feet in mind. I was in badddd need of new shoes! It's a part of me that's constantly hurting, and if my feet are really hurting, then the rest of me is usually hurting too. Today I'm wearing these shoes around the house (normally I'm barefoot or just in socks around the house) to try to break them in a little each day until I leave on Tuesday.

Please be praying for me and those traveling on this trip. I always look forward to work trips because I get to do it so rarely (only for the past three years, and only this particular conference). I feel blessed to be able to go even at all. I'm so excited. But I'm nervous too. It's always extremelyyyyy draining and painful for me. But this year it's going to be different than the past two years so I'm not entirely sure what to expect. I'm going with the flow and will still be working hard, but also trying to pay attention to my body so I don't run it into the ground. The plus side this year is I'm coming back on Friday night, so I have all day Saturday to rest and recoup before we have Thanksgiving with Tim's family that Sunday. Then we leave again the following Wednesday for Thanksgiving with my family in my hometown (about 5 1/2 hours southwest of here).

I'm very excited and looking forward to everything coming in the next couple of weeks, but I've also been working hard to prepare ahead of time for it so I'm not completely drained, get sick, or end up laying in bed for a day due to all the pain and flare-ups. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, your prayers are greatly appreciated!

Roe,

I'll be praying for a great trip. That you stay safe, healthy and have a lot of energy needed at this conference. I hope the shoes work well for you.

I've never been to Rhode Island. Be sure to take some pictures (like I have to say that to the picture queen) and post some when you have the chance (which looks like it won't be until well after Thanksgiving).

Take care.

Love,

Julie
