Dear Uncle Bill

Dear Uncle Bill,

You left us on February 11th, well before any of us were ready for you to go.

It happened so fast. Melanoma tore your body apart faster than we'd expected, and in those last few weeks of your life, you went downhill quickly.

So with that, we know you're in a better place, and we look forward to the day when we'll see you in Heaven again. We are so, so, so grateful for the time we had with you here on earth! You touched a lot of lives, and for those of us blessed enough to have known you or been related to you, you've left a mark that will never go away.

Our hearts ache and we miss you deeply. Aunt Robin misses you more than words can even say. My heart hurts for her every day and I pray for God's loving and comforting arms to surround her constantly with His presence.

As the tears fall on my keyboard, I'm thankful for the many fond memories shared with you.

Today we pause and reflect on a very special life.

Today. May 30th.

You would have turned 58 today.

Instead of celebrating with you, we miss you fiercely.

And we thank God that we are better people for having known you.

Love,
Your Favorite Niece {let's be honest! ;)}
