I remember a lot of good family memories growing up where we gathered around the TV, laughing, conversing about what was going on, learning by their examples of what to do or what not to do.
Then other show obsessions that I started watching after we got married, and again we started a tradition of hanging out around the TV. To some degree, watching TV too much can definitely be a bad thing. They go overboard on some shows, and some should be avoided - we do still need to make a stand, and honor God in what we watch and allow into our minds.
But I also believe it's a cultural thing we should certainly allow ourselves to keep up with to a certain extent. It can say so much about who we are as a culture, and allows for conversations with others that we may not otherwise have a chance to have. Just like with everything else - we need to use our discernment and do everything in moderation.
Anyway, here are my TV obsessions over the years:
1. Saved by the Bell
2. JAG
3. Home Improvement
4. Mad About You5. The Cosby Show
6. Perfect Strangers
7. Family Ties
8. Christy
9. Quantum Leap
10. Friends
11. Ed
12. Frasier
13. I Love Lucy
14. Still Standing
15. Flashpoint
{That's right, totally couldn't limit it to 10.}
I'm a total TV nerd too. There, I said it Mary. TV nerd. We are a lot alike. :)

I used to never watch TV until we got Netflix. Now I watch all kinds of shows. My latest obsession has been Grey's Anatomy. I watched all 6 seasons on netflix and can't wait for the 7th!
