Babysitting Gig Pics & Other Stuff

Okay, so I'm not a parent. Yet. But I hope to be. And in the meantime, I love hanging out with babies and kids, learning from their parents, watching them grow, helping out with them, etc.

But okay, seriously, when you take a gazillion pictures of a kid, how on earth are you supposed to choose the pictures? I mean, look at this face and tell me how you choose between these so that your blog readers don't get tired of all the unending pictures....?? ;)

_________

I also have been taking a ton of Fall pictures lately. Here's just a taste...

Last night I had a great workout, but for the second time in a row, none of my team showed up. My class trainer is awesome, but it's discouraging to be losing this team of people that I've spent weeks building a rapport with. They help hold me accountable and keep me motivated. If it wasn't for my trainer, as these days get darker and shorter and colder, it'd be super tough to make myself get to the gym. I'm thankful for this class, but I really wish my teammates were sticking with the class too. :( I miss them! But, got a great workout nonetheless.

After my workout, I swung by the house of some friends from church who were our original small group leaders. They needed to purchase a book immediately that I could get for them from my work. So I dropped it off and in so doing, had some very special moments with them! It was really good to see my friend Julie and get caught up with her. Plus their four kids are simply adorable! They are totally not shy at all, gave me big hugs, begged me to watch videos with and read to them, their 3 year old was climbing all over me wanting to snuggle, be read to, held, etc, and I got to hold their 8 week old baby girl! Those kids are such a delight, and it was just what I needed last night! Thanks friends! :)

I'm bummed I left my camera in the car for that one!

Today I'm looking forward to lunch with a dear friend who is several months pregnant. We are going to a nifty baby store where she thinks she wants to register for her stroller. We're going to look at it in person and see if it's as good as it seems. I'm always excited to hang out with her and especially talk/look at baby stuff!! :) Woot! Then tonight, a break from working out and hopefully some good rest.

_________

I've mentioned my friend MckMama on my blog before, but I especially want to now. Would you please stop what you are doing and lift her and her family up in prayer? Their baby is hospitalized and really not doing well right now. Little Stellan turns 1 today. He is a baby miracle, and the fact that he's still here is just amazing. God is definitely watching over and loving on this sweet family. Your prayers are greatly appreciated! For all the latest on Stellan's health, please go to her main page and scroll down for the updates and best ways to pray for them. They really appreciate your support!

Prayers for Stellan

Have a blessed Thursday!

Thanks so much for your help today! Seriously... now that I think about it, why would any 32-pound child want to lay on their back in an infant carseat? Makes no sense!! ;)

(Love the pictures of Parker. I think he's starting to look like his mommy!)

You've been busy!

It is hard to pick pictures when you've got little ones, but when you have four and you try to pick one picture where everyone has a smile or at least a decent face, it's not so hard, because you're lucky if you have ONE!

The bright yellow leaves are beautiful!!!

I'm glad you had fun babysitting with those adorable little cuties.

I'm glad you're sticking with the training, in spite of the no-show team.
