Apple Picking

I apologize that so many of my posts lately have been life pictures.

I have so many things I want to update you on and go through. I know a lot of you don't know me personally so the pictures don't mean a whole lot. But for those who do, and use this blog as a way to keep up with my life, I know you enjoy the pictures. I know I have a variety of readers who like different posts, but lately my brain just can't even take detailed posts. Plus I've been so busy I've taken oodles of pictures and this is my best way to share it all!

I'm reading many of your blogs but just haven't had time to comment {which I just hate... I pride myself on always commenting on posts I read whenever I can because I know how much we all love comments or we feel like we're just talking to ourselves!}... I just can't keep up with everything these days so that's something that had to go.

Anyway, thanks for reading and tolerating all the pics!

One of the biggest things that happened here recently was that Tim & I went apple picking on Saturday! I showed you just a few pictures yesterday, but I had to show you a bit more--okay, a lot more--today. It was really, really fun and we soooo badly needed it and really enjoyed a nice, relaxing day together.

The place we went is Christian-based/run and they are closed on Sundays. We really appreciate and respect that. We'd heard good things about it and it's one of the better ones in the area. And by area, I mean an hour plus north of where we live, which is already pretty far out from the city. We didn't want one that was super packed and over commercialized. Oops. It was packedddd. Come to find out tonight on Facebook they said it's the busiest they've ever been. My bad.

There was a line of cars going in.

People.

We felt like the only ones there without kids. Nice, like I needed that reminder right now.

People everywhere.

Another line. To get in to the restaurant. Which really wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Tragedy.

Really cool, godly decorations in the restaurant.

Tim & I. Blurry for some reason. Oh well, a stranger took it, we can't ask too much of 'em. ;)

Me picking some apples.

Tim picking apples.

Sadness.

Beauuuutiful Fall day!! And the air smelled gloriously of apple cider donuts, yum!

Tim & I taking pictures of ourselves. Good ol' face squish one.

Yummy red delicious apples!

Oh bliss.

People.
stinkin.
everywhere.
Good thing it was fun anyway!

Tim with our half bushel of apples.

Me with our half bushel of apples.

What a great day! I'm so thankful we got to do this. Despite the pain & fatigue that slammed me so hard that night, I'm still really glad.

I have a few ideas of what to do with all these apples, and I've already done a little bit. A post on that another time!

This looks like so much fun!! There aren't many places I can do that here, so it was nice to see your pictures!
And about the children, think of all the joy you had not chasing them around :)
