There Are No Words... Pictures and Prayers for Haiti

I had a moment today where I was feeling down-in-the-dumps and sorry for myself. And then I saw a tweet sharing this link to the damage in Haiti.

I shut up. Bowed my head. Prayed. Cried. Felt my heart break.

No more complaining. Just doing.

What can you do? Go to World Vision's website and click on the links provided for you, or just click here. I trust the ministry of World Vision, know they glorify and honor God in what they do, and are already on the ground in Haiti doing everything they can to help there.

You can of course also pray for those affected and those traveling to help.

We might think we have it bad some days, but keeping things in perspective... God reminds us to care for those who cannot care for themselves. To give and love those in need. Let's be Jesus to the world who so desperately needs Him right now.

Dear Heavenly Father, please wrap your arms around those hurting in Haiti right now. We don't understand this event Lord, but we know you have a bigger plan. We pray that you would heal the wounded, comfort those who've lost loved ones, and send others to help provide food, shelter, and clothing to those who so desperately need it right now. We pray that the people of Haiti would allow their minds and hearts to be open to the Gospel... that many will come to know You through this time. We pray for those traveling to help out, that you would keep them safe, and provide in surprising and amazing ways so that more and more people can be helped... that there would be no fraud in any attempts to get money to where it needs to go. That the healing and help would be quick and soothing, not delayed in any way. Please be with and bless all these people Lord.
In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.
