We Remember - One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, Haiti was hit with a devastating earthquake.

My pastor {James MacDonald} and his friend {Mark Driscoll} co-founded Churches Helping Churches immediately after the quake and traveled to Haiti to survey the damage.

Just before they left, Pastor Mark visited our church and he & Pastor James prayed together for the people of Haiti.

Shortly after that, our town {among many others} had Haiti relief programs. We volunteered at the one with the Salvation Army, packing food to send to the victims. We left there feeling so humbled and grateful and blessed. We cannot take anything for granted!

Today, on the one year anniversary of that tragedy, Churches Helping Churches is hosting a rally, with likely 50,000 people to be in attendance. Please be praying for Pastor James and Pastor Mark as they all prepare to preach. You can follow along with how it's all going on Twitter.

And so far here and here are a couple of pictures they've posted of the rally.

Below is a video recapping some of the work Churches Helping Churches has been able to provide in Haiti.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the devastated people in Haiti.
